- What Chiropractic can offer
Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints and muscles), and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. There is an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal adjustment and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation.

At Tivoli Chiropractic Clinic, we take a holistic approach by addressing the whole of you, including your physical, mental and emotional health. We may also offer advice on diet, exercise and lifestyle, and rehabilitation programmes that involve exercises to do at home.

Our highly trained Chiropractors use a range of techniques to reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility, including hands-on manipulation of the spine. Treatment is tailored to treating you, not anyone.
Chiropractic care can help anyone, including the young, older people, manual workers, office professionals, pregnant women, children and sports people.

People seek treatment for a wide variety of conditions, including general acute and chronic back pain, sciatica, mechanical neck pain, joint pains from osteoarthritis, headaches caused by neck problems, prevention of migraine, muscle spasms, rotator cuff injuries and conditions arising from minor sports injuries.
On your first visit to Tivoli Chiropractic Clinic, there will be an online registration form to complete regarding your personal details, current condition and general medical health. Some of the questions you will be asked may not seem important, but they will help us to establish an overall picture of your health and determine whether Chiropractic care is appropriate for your condition.

A physical examination will be carried out to help with diagnosing your condition. We use a range of orthopaedic and neurological tests, as well as assessments of posture and range of movement.

Your Chiropractor will talk you through your condition and discuss how we are able to help you. It is important to us that you not only understand how we can help, but how you can help yourself. You will be advised on the most effective way to deal with any pain straight away. If it is appropriate and no further investigations are required, you can receive treatment on your first visit if you wish to.
